September TBR

Hey all,

I can’t believe it is already September. This year is going by way too quickly and there just isn’t enough time to read all the books. Last month I managed to read quite a lot and I want to keep up the momentum so this might be an ambitious TBR but I’m going to try. I am also wanting to join a few readalongs this month as well as some book club reads so they are dictating most of my picks for the month.

So on to the books:

Circe - Madeline Miller Circe by Madeline Miller (I am already half way through this but had to put it down because of the NEWTs readathon.)

Children of Blood and Bone - Tomi Adeyemi Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi (I am three quarters through this book already but just like Circe I had to stop because of the NEWTs.)

From Twinkle with Love - Sandhya Menon From Twinkle, with Love by Sandhya Menon (Again started and had to put it down for the NEWTs)

Grace and Fury - Tracy Banghart Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart (This will be the first book I will read in September as it is The YA Room’s August book of the month and the meeting is on the 5th.)

Escaping from Houdini - Kerri Maniscalco Escaping from Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco (I don’t think it is a surprise that I will be reading this as soon as I get my hands on it.)

Nevernight - Jay Kristoff Nevernight by Jay Kristoff (Catorina from Little Book Owl and Piera from PieraForde are doing a readalong for Nevernight and Godsgrave over September and October so I am joining in.)

Strange the Dreamer - Laini Taylor Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor (Catorina from Little Book Owl is also doing a readalong for this Duology over September and October.)

Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue - Mackenzi Lee The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee (Books With Chloe is also doing a readalong this month.)

Mirage - Somaiya Daud Mirage by Somaiya Daud (This is The Ya Room’s September book of the month.)

Clean - Juno Dawson Clean by Juno Dawson (I went to a panel at the Melbourne Writers’ Festival with Juno in it and I came away needing to pick this book up.)

Immortal Beloved - Cate Tiernan Immortal Beloved by Cate Tiernan. (I have decided to start doing a TBR Jar as there are so many books that are on my shelves that I haven’t gotten to and in some cases have forgotten that I own. This was my first pick from the jar.)

City of Lies - Sam Hawke City of Lies by Sam Hawke (This is the Name of the Book pick for September.)

I just realized how much reading that is but wish me luck and I better get started.

Happy Reading

  1. Your TBR this month is absolutely amazing! Nevernight, Strange the Dreamer and A Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue are some of my favourite 5 star reads. I also really liked Grace and Fury and Mirage! Good luck with your TBR, I hope you smash it 🙂
