So it has definitely been awhile since I have done a post of any kind and I am truely sorry for that. I will be doing a life update post and video for anyone that is interested in the massive changes that have happened lately which have caused me to need some time to myself and has really impacted my reading of late.
So anyway this weeks theme for Top Ten Tuesday is Winter / Cosy Reads and even though it is now Summer in Australia I love curling up with a good book on a cold rainy day.
Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson
Half-Blood by Jennifer L Armentrout
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone by J K Rowling
Basically I love curling up with a good series and having binge sessions with a cup of coffee and my blanket.
Ok disclaimer…. there is way more than 10 books that I need to read including some very popular books in YA history. However for the sake of this list I am going to stick to more recent books that I want to read before the end of 2019.
Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody
Caraval by Stephaine Garber
Vicious by V E Schwab
Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson
Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L Armentrout
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
Renegades by Marissa Meyer
Paper Princess by Erin Watt
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas
Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu
I am starting off this post with a massive I’m Sorry.
I have had to take so time off from Blogging/ Youtube and even reading in general as I have been going through a pretty hard time. While this is certainly not over I am starting to move on and get back to the things that I love.
So I’m doing this post a day late and using last weeks topic but I hope you will all forgive me.
Last week’s topic for TTT was Villians and I want to highlight some of my favourite Villians. (not quite sure if they are going to be in order or not)
Sebastian Morgenstern – from Mortal Instruments Series
Scythe Goddard – from Scythe
Bellatrix Lestrange – from Harry Potter
Athos & Astrid Dane – from Darker Shade of Magic
Queen of Hearts – from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
The Evil Queen – from Snow White
Joker – from Batman
Count Olaf – from A Series of Unfortunate Events
Moriarty – from Sherlock Holmes
Lord Voldemort – from Harry Potter
Hope everyone is having a good Halloween and reading all the creepy books.
This week’s topic is a hard one as I would love to meet and all authors of books that I have read.
These however are the top 10 that I can think of at this very moment and if by some miracle they were to see this I would really appricate it if you could please come to Melbourne, Australia.
Jennifer L. Armentrout
Sarah J Maas
Honourable mention is Jay Kristoff. I have heard Jay speak before and he was amazing.
Ok, since I live in the Southern Hemisphere this is technically my Spring TBR but this is still the list of the top ten books I want to make sure that I read in the coming months.
Save the Date by Morgan Matson – I have only read Amy and Rodgers Epic Detour from Morgan Matson and it is about time I fix this.
The Darkest Mind by Alexandra Bracken – I now I need to read this.
Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart – This has been talked about so much lately and I got it in a FairyLoot box.
Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson – Everyone has been talking about this book and it is also the Biannual Bibliothon May-Jul read.
Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee – I am joining Books With Chloe for this read-a-long in September.
Crown of Midnight & Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas – So I have read Crown of Midnight before but stopped there and since the final book is about to come out I have started again and want to continue with the series.
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin – I don’t know why I haven’t read this series yet but October seems like the perfect time.
Batman by Marie Lu – I have been putting this book off for so long and it is high time that I bit the bullet and just read it because I am sure I am going to love it. I am a huge Batman fan and in a way that is stopping me from starting this book because I am scared of where it is going to go.
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff – I am planning on reading this in September with the Little Book Owl and Piera Forde as a read-a-long and then Godsgrave in October.
And finally this one should come as no surprise since it is my most anticipated release for 2018
Escaping from Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco – Need I say anymore. I have been loving this series so I need the next one ASAP and I will be reading it as soon as I get it in September.
So these are just the top ten books I want to read over the next three months. Let me know if you have read any of these books and what is on your TBR for the next couple of months.
